Train like collegiate athletes and prepare yourself for your sport!

Designed for ALL SPORTS and includes strength, power, speed and agility work.

Learn proper strength training and running form, as well as work on footwork technique, mobility and flexibility.

Football Individual Skills Camp


July 8-11, 2019

This is an all-position skills camp (non-contact) which will include football technique and skill training, classroom learning sessions, speed and agility work.

Football Camp is HELMETS ONLY!

We will offer premier OL/DL coaching series with NFL veterans, as well as QB individual work with a collegiate QB coach, and all skill position (WR/DB/RB/TE) training with collegiate coaches and current NFL WR.

For ages 8-18

Campers will also go through the sports performance and strength and conditioning necessary to be successful in their sport.

Cori Metzgar

Dir. of Sports Performance - WOU


Cori is a Master level strength & conditioning coach with 19+ years of Collegiate Strength & Conditioning experience including stops at The Ohio State University, Colorado State University, Washington State University and Western Michigan University.  She is one of less than 170 strength coaches in the nation who hold the "Master Strength Coach" title.

Jason Slowey 

Two Time All American Offensive Tackle at WOU

Drafted in 2012 by the 49ers

Jason also spent time with the Oakland Raiders and the BC Lions.  Currently is the LB's Coach for WOU

Kimo von Oelhoffen

15 year NFL Veteran and 2005 Super Bowl Champion - Steelers

Has coached DL at Western Oregon University, Central Washington University and Texas A&M University - Commerce City

Trey Shimabukuro

QB's Coach at WOU

QB at WOU from 2010-2014

Originally from Kauai, HI and has been coached by and mentored by a vast array of successful QB coaches and is proficient in teaching QB technique and offensive skills.

James Gravelle 

Defensive Coordinator at Southern Oregon University

NAIA National Runner-Up in 2015

Coach Gravelle brings 20+ years of coaching experience to Juneau, the first chunk was accrued at SOU from 1997 to 2005 as a secondary and special teams coach. When he returned in 2015, he oversaw the Raiders' safeties, kickers and punters.  This will be the 3rd summer of coming to Juneau to volunteer his time coaching the youth in Juneau.

Nate Penaranda

Assistant Sports Performance Coach, Grand Canyon University

Coach Penranda was a stand out running back for Western Oregon University and holds the record for the highest Vertical Jump in the last decade at WOU at 42"!!!

Coach P also has interned as a Sports Performance Coach for USC and TCU

Brings an energy and enthusiasm to coaching speed, agility and power to our camps for the 2nd year in a row. 

Alex Melson

Owner of Melson Speed & Performance, Portland, OR

Coach Melson has a huge passion for helping high school youth train and develop to go on to the collegiate level.  Coach M returns for his 2nd year and is the most enthusiastic, positive and energetic coach you could ever find.  We are so fortunate to have him coming back to teach the youth about speed, strength and power. 

Matt Overlin 

Wide Receivers Coach and Special Teams Coordinator, Western Oregon University

Coach "O" is in his 13th year as a Collegiate Football Coach.

During his time at WOU, Coach Overlin has also assisted with the linebackers, running backs and as an assistant recruiting coordinator.

This will be Coach Overlin's 1st year coaching the Football Skills Camp and we couldn't be more excited to have him, he brings energy and enthusiasm that rivals anyone and he makes learning about football FUN.
